Just 4 Today I’m going to drink my 2 liters of water (which I’ve been doing for over a week now).
But, I’m also in the lucky position of being able to conduct an experiment. I’m not going to be able to do any distance walking for two weeks. Which means that:
Just for today I will write down everything I eat and keep track of the calories in each. Just for today I will measure & weigh every single thing. And Just for today I will think ahead (about everything I eat) so I don’t get in trouble later.
Because in the past this situation has been my downfall.
It’s not only about food — If there’s something you’ve been meaning to do, maybe today would be a good day to do it.
Good Morning, KatieBird. Does your inability to do distance walking mean that you really hurt your ankle yesterday? Oh, I’m so sorry. You will adjust, I know you will.
Just 4 today I will get my exercise in (even the icky weight exercises) and will drink more water. I will get an extra 20 minutes of aerobic exercise. And I will walk away from my laptop and get some work done. Just 4 today.
Oh, I almost forgot. You did a marvelous job on Kansas’ website!
Thanks Nag! Yes, it’s an actual sprain — luckily not a break. And no walking for 2 weeks. It actually feels ok right now (after 12 hours completely off it).
But, I know that an illusion.
I’m very frustrated about losing Eat4Today just when I’m too knocked out to deal with it.
Just for today I’m going to take half an hour to be alone in nature. I need to reconnect my body and soul.
That sounds so lovely.
So sorry to hear about your ankle and your site – I am glad tp see you posting this here.
Just for today I am going to spend half an hour contemplating all that I am grateful for, choose one, and write more indepth thoughts about it.
Thank you Katiebird 🙂
I love this idea.
Hey there, katiebird. Thanks for posting this here.
Here’s hoping you find your way to quick healing & that you’re back on both feet asap.
Personally, there’s generally always something I’ve been meaning to do, but haven’t. Today I’d like to get to the chores I’ve put aside in order to do other chores. 😉
Thank you for your example & encouragement.
I saw an article yesterday that they are doing something similar in Kansas City. And they send a “report card” to local doctors.
I’m dragged down by my ankle, but I really want to find out more about this program. I think I’ll call my doctor and see if she’s participating.
The Kansas City Star reported some pretty dramatic results since the implementation of the program. I wonder if it’s all part of the same thing?
I think my link is really screwed up.
Correct link here
Thanks CabinGirl, I took a quick look and I’ll read it when I get home. Here’s that KC Star article.
