Good morning!!! Little slow going here this am but had a great weekend. Enjoying a mug of java before getting ready for work this am. Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday. I’ll check in when I can from work later today.
humprrp, humprrp morning Cabin Girl. I’m still in the it monday phase and Oh so missing my coffe. I stayed up to late last night in the cafe and overslept again.
Busy time until the end of March….DFA, BuyBlue, work, job interview, Take Back Red California, tax clients, a grandkid visit, and just real life. So, my friend and I will be gone except for lurking for a few weeks or so.
Hug to everyone…keep the tables clear and the coffee hot!
A Good Morning and (((hugs))) from AP and Oui for all BooTribbers …
Yesterday was the big day AP and hubby would spend the day with me in the capitol city The Hague. They met up with me at the Hockey Club, near the miniature city of Madurodam, after AP decided to run the athletic course of 2mi. around the sports park to create some appetite for later in the day.
To restore some lost energy, AP was offered a French baguette with salad, tomato, brie and relaxed with a Heineken beer. We also met a fellow BooMan lurker who would join us for dinner in the evening.
Scheveningen Prison :: Orange Hotel during WWII
AP got excited when we checked the old Orange Hotel prison in Scheveningen where Milosevic resides, and there was vacancy for any future American contribution for the war crimes tribunal by the ICC. We swung around to pass by the
beautiful historic city center with parliament building and seat of government
Lange Voorhout and the American Embassy hidden behind high security fences and guards
shopping, restaurants and bars of Noordeinde and Denneweg
a peaceful home community of Benoordenhout where I live
a stroll in lovely Clingendael Park nearby, with a lot of history and German seat of power in WWII
traveled North to Wassenaar and the National Park of Meyendel with a visit to the horse stables and the local pancake house with family atmosphere for a drink
made a quick run by the landscaped gardens and large mansions of the Wassenaar elite and family-capital ownerships
last stop was the restaurant in the dunes at Hotel Duinoord for a wonderful chance to combine BooMan’s political thought and a treat of many dishes of food, some Beaujolais red wine and finished with dessert late in the evening.
