         I know.  And that is the one thing about Feb that really sucks…you keep anticipating that winter will be over soon, and the weather just gets colder.  This really sucks for me because, as a rule, I am an outdoorsy person.  (And I prefer winter to summer.)  But, am still recuperating from the pneumonia.  Don’t want to do too much as I am really concerned of another relapse!

           Umm, not really.  I know you, me, Denim Blue, and btower.  BostonJoe is over in Lansing.  Teacher Toni is in Windsor.

           zesty grapher is in the UP–And there’s also someone from Sandy Levin’s district.  Boston Joe, Denim Blue, and you and me–seems to be a pretty good sized concentration.  Maybe a few more, but I can’t think of who…

           Do you know whereabouts in the U.P. zesty grapher is at?  I spent my jr high and high school years in Sault Ste. Marie.

           I know there are quite a few kossacks in the A2 / Detroit area, but I’m not sure about other BooTribbers.

           I spent summer of 97 in the UP.  Biggest mistake that I ever made was to come back here.  Really want to go back to the UP, but I won’t even go for a vacation, if I go, I’ll know that I’ll never come back.  So, the next time I’m going, its for good!

           And I really liked Saulte Ste. Marie, even picked up the accent, it’s gone now.

   Hey – whatever happened to Rove’s pending indictment. He’s guilty as sin in outing Plame. He’s clearly indicated as the source in Libby’s case summary.

   Did Rove threaten Fitzgerald? How did he get away with this?

   Yesterday was the big day AP and hubby would spend the day with me in the capitol city The Hague. They met up with me at the Hockey Club, near the miniature city of Madurodam, after AP decided to run the athletic course of 2mi. around the sports park to create some appetite for later in the day.

   To restore some lost energy, AP was offered a French baguette with salad, tomato, brie and relaxed with a Heineken beer. We also met a fellow BooMan lurker who would join us for dinner in the evening.

   
   Scheveningen Prison :: Orange Hotel during WWII

   AP got excited when we checked the old Orange Hotel prison in Scheveningen where Milosevic resides, and there was vacancy for any future American contribution for the war crimes tribunal by the ICC. We swung around to pass by the

   • present UN Yugoslavia Trials Court, the
   • home of Dutch PM Jan Peter Balkenende “Het Catshuis”
   • received from protesters at the Chinese embassy Fulong pamphlets
   • Vredespaleis or Peace Palace and Carnegie place, home of the International Court of Justice
   • beautiful historic city center with parliament building and seat of government
   • Lange Voorhout and the American Embassy hidden behind high security fences and guards
   • shopping, restaurants and bars of Noordeinde and Denneweg
   • a peaceful home community of Benoordenhout where I live
   • a stroll in lovely Clingendael Park nearby, with a lot of history and German seat of power in WWII
   • traveled North to Wassenaar and the National Park of Meyendel with a visit to the horse stables and the local pancake house with family atmosphere for a drink
   • made a quick run by the landscaped gardens and large mansions of the Wassenaar elite and family-capital ownerships
   • last stop was the restaurant in the dunes at Hotel Duinoord for a wonderful chance to combine BooMan’s political thought and a treat of many dishes of food, some Beaujolais red wine and finished with dessert late in the evening.
