Sorry, I don’t have any animal action shots for today’s post.
Instead, I offer you Albert, in his “so I’m on the couch – so what” pose.
Which is a bit ironic since we don’t care if he gets on the couch. But he always acts like he’s been caught in the act. I think he just enjoys being “naughty.”
Albert is soooooo adorable! I’d let him on the couch too! 😉
How are you doing keres?
I’m fine Olivia, if a bit busy. In the last few days I’ve rewired half the house and installed a wood stove.
Since this is turning into a Albert love-fest, I’d thought I’d pull out the stops and post a few more “cutest bunny ever” photos.
Young Albert taking a snooze.
See the old clunker of a woodstove and the hideous old cheap carpet? That’s no longer there, and this morning we are enjoying the markedly superior heating capabilities of our new Norwegian stove.
But that’s not what you’re focussed on, I know. The above is a picture of Albert being ‘claimed’ by our newest bunny, Henry, when we first got him. He used to love leaping on Albert and snuggling into him.
Alas, since then Henry has grown up and despite being ‘tutored’ by the vet, retains a lot of testosterone, the result that he and Albert fight – bunfu – if left in a room together. And in general, Henry is not a social bun, not fond of humans or cuddles. He now lives in a very nice & spacious apartment (aka the old enclosed porch) on the back of the house.
Albert at first very much enjoyed having a companion, but it was one of those stories that reminds you how fraught animal ownership can be.
this up and yer gonna melt my heart into a puddle!
he can join Bud for a nap anyday on my couch
I think I’ve shown this one before, but the is Henry and Rabbit.
What a great picture. Why haven’t you used it in one of your cafes?
Thanks Andi I hadn’t thought of it.
Plus I’d have to come up with some great caption to go along with it. Hint, Hint.
because it needs a sweet one and I’d only come up with dirty ones.
Combine one from both of ya’ll. A sweetly dirty saying.
Is there such a thing?
but maybe DJ could.
I’ll advance the idea to Olivia and DJ.
They’re kissing :*
Yea Henry and Rabbit got alone pretty well.
That was pre George.
Bu says Hi!
Bu chaise.o5
Springs finally coming on and she’s got her lounge chair back.
some new pictures of pretty, sweet-faced Bu.
I agree…I haven’t had the camera out in weeks. I’ll work on it, maybe scan some of her puppy pics from film…Hmmmm.
She was a cutie!
We have to see those! You better move those pix up to the top of that TBS pile dada. 🙂
Haven’t seen her before! How come she doesn’t join you some night in the lounge? She’s enough to melt even this old cynic’s heart in an instant! You’re a lucky guy, and she is a very lucky doggie!
i hafe a dairi wit mi frend pecorino frum wen luna wuz gon…wi r famos!!!
u dn a prtee gut diarreee mit lk 2 yer frend pecorino!
in a very stupidass sort of way.
Makes me want some too. 🙂
Which one is Sniff? Or should I take an educated guess from the photo? LOL
Sniff is beagle mutt.
Hopeful is the coonhound mutt.
Giddy is the malamutt.
Whose nickname is Roo, btw… tee-hee.
Actually, and unfortunately seriously, Jasper scared the shit out of me twice within the past six weeks or so… Emergency vet runs and all. Yeah, she is old, and I just hate that. But, she is still here, and I will always love her. As I know she will me. 🙂
I just kinda like this one.
Also know as RooFur
I’m sorry, I’m just a proud Mama! 🙂
I think I prefer Jasper’s fur on Jasper. 🙂
But you’ve inspired me to take a picture sometime of the mass of fur that comes off Giddy, our malamutt.
Oh boy… I swear Jasper has some newfie in her, which is my her mane and bloomers get so full. Time for a haircut next week! 🙂
Very majestic looking.
Thank you honey!! 🙂
This is Myriad being too lazy to log out Keres and log in as me. As Albert is my bunny, and clearly the cutest and best bunny in the whole world, I had to show up.
This is Albert at about 8 weeks old, just after we first got him. All ears and feet and ‘tude. I swear, if you look and listen closely, you’ll see baggy pants and here hip-hop. (Hip hop – gettit? hahahahaha!)
I might add that at this point he could still ball in my hand. When we first got him, he was so unspeakably cute that people would stand staring at him, trying to work their face into an expression that sufficiently echoed the appropriate magnitude of cuteness. It wasn’t possible.
Given his cranky nature, Albert has come to find his cuteness a blessing and a curse. On the one hand he gets lots of treats and gets away with all sorts of naughtiness. On the other it has radically increased the number of mandatory cuddles he has to endure as part of the deal. Such is life.
dogs, eat your heart out.
Albert is by far the cutest, most snuggliest, adorable bunny I have ever seen. And I’m just seeing him in 2D. I imagine he is so soft… How old is he now?
You’re right, this could be a photo for his ‘hiphop’ album. 🙂
[still Myriad]
Albert is 2 and a bit, ie a cranky old man. His offical title is Mr Crankypants.
He is incredibly soft and fluffy. Alas I’ve never been able to get him to agree to sit on my cold feet, but it has been somewhat perturbing the number of people who have remarked what a great bunny slipper he would make!
No wonder he’s cranky. In all honesty I never expected a wee bun to have so much personality and intelligence. He keeps us endlessly entertained.
I hope they were in jest. But even still, I can’t imagine someone saying that about my cat — he’d make creat kitty slippers. Ack.
Mr. Crankypants is adorable.
just grew by an order of magnitude.
Glad to see the dog/critter blog back! Been itching to show off our two kids, Pepa (smaller) and Rolly (larger). Here’s one of them relaxing in the back yard from May, 2005.

This is old stuff for the FBC crowd, but new for some here I hope!
So many wonderful doggies and bunnies here tonight. It’s a furry beast lover’s delight!
It’s such an nice picture, though — they look so intelligent and calm, unlike some unnamed idiots upthread.
