Were you able to get in to the doctor?
The pulmonologist gave me an appointment for 10:30 on Thursday AM. Tried calling the primary care doc, but he’s been flaky (no, really) lately, and never got a call back, despite calling his personal pager directly, on top of the office and service. When I called my mom’s doctor to see if they could see us (CBtY is sick too), they could only fit one of us in, so he got the appointment and strep test.
I started my steroid taper this morning, and because I can’t stand taking that stuff, I waited too long to take the second dose this afternoon. Hopefully it’ll kick in some more soon.
I hope you and CBtY feel better soon.

I really miss him, and can’t wait to hear how things are going. Especially since they’ve had the lousiest weather for most of the time he’s been there.
He does his 3-day solo later this week too, I think. And the end of next week, it will already be time for me to head down for parents part of the course and to bring him home.
I hope the call is a good get-better dose for you and that you hear that he’s having a great time and an incredible adventure.

Thanks Andi, but like I said last night, I am rank amateur compared to Olivia and Knucklehead. I am a snapshooter with a big heavy (stone age) camera. That’s all.

I haven’t had a tv in dog’s years, but every once in a while I still have to suffer Bush’s voice on the radio – and I’ll turn it off rather than subject myself to his odiousness.
The same goes for John Howard (Australia’s PM).
The worst part about Bush is that he stammers through it so damn much.
If he didn’t do that, one might be able to get used to his voice and drown it out. Kind of like when people work in sewage treatment plants they stop being able to smell sewage.
But you can’t do that with Bush. It’s like he breaks a rotten egg, then opens a pack of rancid meat, then farts on top of it all.

To embed (like I did) a UTube video, click on the UTube symbol in the lower right hand corner of the video screen. That will take you directly to that video’s “page” at UTube.
Once there, look just to the right (at about mid-height) of the video and you’ll see the word Embed (in bold). To the right of the word Embed is the code you need to embed the image in your own site or on a forum. Copy and paste.

Well, when I get the papers folded up into eight sections, recently stored in a back pocket, I figure a little grease won’t hurt.
When I crank that fryer up, all of the neighborhood kids come a runnin’. It’s a good thing too cuz I sure don’t need ’em.

Yes. Which is why the dog wash station at the car wash is the best invention since sliced bread. Washing her in our own tub was followed by wiping dry the ceiling, in addition to the walls and fixtures.

Ah. Fortunately Luna is a good passenger. There’s one of those doggy hammocks that covers the back seat and goes up the back of the front seats. It keeps dog and dog dirt relatively confined. If I leave her in the car, while I go somewhere dog unfriendly, she just stretches out and sleeps.
Also, I have a small chain with padlocks at either end, so if I take her walking downtown while I run errands, I can lock her to a sign post while I go in the stores. I usually come out to find she’s got a fan club gathered ’round her.
It’s getting them to be passengers that’s the problem.
