   And then of course there’s the latest to shock the McCain campaign:

   (CNN) — A day after four of Sen. John McCain’s top political strategists stepped down, the co-chairman of his Florida campaign was arrested Wednesday for allegedly offering an undercover police officer money for a sex act, Titusville police said.

   Florida state Rep. Bob Allen faces charges of solicitation for prostitution after he was arrested in a Titusville city park that had been under surveillance, police said.

   He allegedly offered an undercover police officer $20 for the unspecified act. His attorney, Philip Lupo of Titusville, said the charge was a second-degree misdemeanor.

   Allen told CNN affiliate WFTV the incident was “a very big misunderstanding.”

   “This is a very gross mistake, a very big mistake,” he said, adding that this is what the judicial system is for.

   Allen said he helped build the park, and was there looking around.

   A couple of things left out of the Web story that I heard on the TV report: Allen was the sponsor of legislation that would make all public sex acts illegal, even between consenting adults…and the undercover officer he allegedly solicited was MALE. This might bear close watching…

   If this has become the norm in GOP land, heaven only knows what the godless liberals have been up to. Time for some repenting…or not.

   Hat tip to one of our faithful readers/posters.  Those of you who are scratching your head after reading the inane posting of one “Sue” aka axeystringer@yahoo.com are in for a shock–She’s a dude.  I have nothing against cross dressers or folks with other fetishes.  I guess Sue is our Ann Coulter–a dude masquerading as a chick.  So, in writing to Sue remember that she be a he, but still be nice.  He/she has some “issues”.

   Which brings up the other matter of why closet GOP queens feel compelled to stop at NoQuarter and make a crack about my hair.  Straight guys never make comments about other guys’ hair.  We don’t care.  What I find so strange is that liberal gays don’t feel compelled to comment on my appearance.  They focus on substance and intelligent issues.  It is the repressed Republican Jeff Gannon types who can’t help themselves.  As I told the last guy who complained about my “do”, “I’m over 50 and simply happy to have enough hair that I don’t have to do a comb over”.
   Repugs just keep on giving.
