I am famous for my black moods whenever the New York Giants lose a playoff football game. Fortunately, they have 14-7 halftime lead. It better stand up.

I was getting all dark in the 1st quarter when Garcia was all over the field and the G Men ran nine plays while failing to get a first down. I don’t know what changer after that but it was good. Total slap down.
And a shout out to Rutgers in their bowl win. 300 yards passing and 300 running. Amazing. Too bad they had to leave the country to play.
I can live with Hillary, if it comes to that, and even enjoy seeing history made. I’d rather live with Barack and also see history made. But my heart is with John and seeing an entirely different kind of history being made.
I am an atheist. I am an extreme left-wing liberal socialist type. I have a strong ideology and I know what I believe in.
I have been watching C-Span alot lately because they are covering all of the candidate events, of both parties, in their entirety. Really excellent stuff.
My Odd confession is: The more I see of him, the more I like Mike Huckabee. I know I should hate the guy because he’s a theocrat. But he’s just too likable. And he doesn’t sound like the usual asshole Republican.
Is it just me?
Of course I won’t vote for him. I don’t want to see Chuck Norris as Secretary of Defense (or whatever) any more than any other sane person.
Obama and Edwards move me so much more. But I can really understand what average Republicans see in this guy, and it’s not about religion. It’s not. He’s just genuine. And he’s not an actor playing a part. A stand up comedian, maybe. But who couldn’t like this guy? He could be trouble for our candidates but I find myself secretly hoping he’ll go far in this race. Like he deserves it because he’s actually real.
Okay. I guess I should take a nap or something. Maybe I’ve lost my mind.
Seriously, though: early 21st Century zeitgeist apparently does involve responsiveness to perceived authenticity — most likely because the authentic is endangered under Xtreme Capitalism & we know it. Can’t blame anyone for their attraction.
That said, likability — & we do like the authentic — was absolutely crucial to the public persona & support of Ronald Reagan. Given magic transportation to the current electoral age, Candidate Reagan would be expertly groomed for authenticity.
That’s a very good point about Reagan. Although he did some of the most atrocious and evil things done by any free nation in the history of the world, people still remember him as some awe-inspiring figure who saved the world. I remember when he died, I was at a local gay bar (I’m gay) and the boys were weeping over his death. I reminded them that he refused to acknowledge AIDS and is responsible for the deaths of a whole generation of our brothers and it didn’t even phase them. They were sad for that bitch Nancy.
Right now I am watching a speech by the wonderful, the amazing Michelle Obama. What a beautiful woman she is. And she’s talking about the politics of fear and how it affects our children. Wow. We need her as our next first lady. I’d like to see her get a weekly TV show even. Wow. What a lady.
Eli should have tried to throw the ball into the endzone, but I’ll take a 17-7 lead.
Love ya Boo but I don’t even know the rules to that silly game.
if you score more points, you win.

Looks as if I’ll be in South Florida to offer advice to Dem family members on the vote — just as I was last November.
That’s advice, not dictation.
As of right now, I truly don’t know what I’d advise.
I do know for sure now that the local climate is barely suitable for any life form aside of bacteria.
I will advise against Hillary. Every time.

Anyone? What do you think?
I think you should take a nap, dear.

Gee – Those of us here in New England Patriot Land think things are just great in the football world!
