Sounded familiar but I couldn’t tell what they were saying. So I looked up the lyrics:

I choose my words carefully.
Well, back in the day … we never bothered looking up the lyrics (and, besides, we always lost the liner notes/lyrics if they even existed).
It made it more fun to sing along.
Nice…that was like my nursery anthem as a kid and I too, raise my kids on a steady diet of Funkadelic.
