I remember how badly I felt that Sunday for the plight of those suffering injustices at the hands of the Alabama police forces to the everlasting shame of that state. On the other hand, how could one not admire the courage and heroism of the marchers who had a rendezvous with history. God bless them all.
One thing we can say is that The United States of America is a place where committed activism can occasionally win significant victories against entrenched injustices.
