So, are we feeling stupid enough yet to declare Chuck Grassley an obstructionist instead of a partner for health care reform? No? How stupid do we have to feel then?

Well, I didn’t vote for him, so I feel pretty smart, although it took me a while to figure out your refererence.
From Linda Douglass on Ed Schultz (MSNBC) tonight:
“Congress is not in session…”
Translation: it doesn’t matter what these jokers say on the stump.
That’s how stupid.
nice snark.
i have something that someone who’s fucking stupid can put in his fucking mouth, maybe it’ll shut him the fuck up for fucking once in his fucking pirouetting life, the fucking loser who loses and should shut the fuck up.
only problem, if he grits his teeth, you’re in for a world of hurt (figuratively and literally)
I thought Specter was going to have a chat with Grassley?
Like what? A post-retirement beltway version of The Godfather?
“It’s nothing personal, Chuck. It’s just business.”
If only.
It was in Booman’s Sestak and Specter in Pittsburgh:
Re: Sestak and Specter in Pittsburgh
Specter promises to call Grassley today to correct him about killing grannies.

Considering Grassley’s most recent pronouncements, Specter
(a) didn’t call
(b) did call, but couldn’t remember if he was a Dem or a Rep and wasn’t sure what to say to Grassley
(c) Grassley wouldn’t take his call
(d) called but chatted about other things
I am finding politics rather sickening at the moment.
folks who thought Grassley was serious….they need to be bitchslapped.
That would require starting with Barack Obama, though the latest news over the wire seems to suggest that he’s finally figured out that his enemies are really enemies, and he just may be planning to ram it through.
It’s about goddamn time. If Obama learns to use the fist as well as he does the olive branch, we might actually get something done for a change.
I’m not going to get my hopes up, but I will be very pleased if, years from now, I can look back on my vote for Obama and see that it made a real difference.
Remember this?: House Passes Stimulus Plan With No G.O.P. Votes
That was and is the rest of the story.
Obama has been wasting time, energy, credibility, support, and money negotiating with a group whose policy it is vote no.
As Cong. Anthony Weiner states, go for the 51 dem votes in the senate, and use the majority in the house to get the best bill they can, and screw the republicans.
They were against Social Security, Medicare, Civil Rights, and such socialist programs as the post office, libraries, schools, roads, military, parks, the mint, fbi, cia, nsa, and the other respective national, state and county progams that all of us pay for collectively through taxes, whether we like it or not!
Remember, our country has millions of people who have exercised their right to be dead wrong. Let them be, whether by an imagined “death panel,” or by voluntary intellectual death, it is all the same.
… if the top recc’ed diary at Kos “Dems to go it alone according to CNN” is true.
Not true. Gibbs walking it back today this morning. SMH!!
