   Removing it would mean that hers and the violent suggestions of others actually leads to events such as this.  And taking responsibility is not in the picture for prominent right-leaning individuals.

     Definite consciousness of guilt.  Of course, they’ll say it was just a matter of good taste.  But it was far too late for that.

       Last I heard Palin, or her minions, were furiously scrubbing every site of theirs they could.  Of course once it is on the web, it’s out there forever.  People take screen grabs.  There is the way-back machine(a few actually).  And of course Matt Bai tries to say both sides do it because someone on TGOS put up a comment a while back lambasting Giffords for voting against HCR.  Bai obviously can’t tell between an anonymous internet commenter and a possible Presidential candidate.

           They can try to scrub it, but it doesn’t permanently disappear.  They forget there is something called the way-back machine.

   Arizona Suspect’s Recent Acts Offer Hints of Alienation

   Paul Schwalbach, the spokesman for the Pima Community College, said one video that Mr. Loughner had prepared was considered particularly troubling by campus administrators, motivating them to suspend Mr. Loughner in September.

   College “police and other officials viewed it and found it very disturbing,” he said. After he was suspended, Mr. Loughner and his parents met with administrators, who said he would require a mental health clearance if he wanted to return to college.

   Don Coorough, 58, who sat two desks in front of Mr. Loughner in a poetry class last semester, described him as a “troubled young man” and “emotionally underdeveloped.” After another student read a poem about getting an abortion, Mr. Loughner compared the young woman to a “terrorist for killing the baby.”

   “No one in that class would even sit next to him.”

   The Washington Post reported late Saturday that Loughner purchased the gun Nov. 30 from the Sportsman’s Warehouse in Tucson.

   … A source with knowledge of the gun involved in Saturday’s shooting says the weapon used was a Glock 19 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Importantly, the source said, the gun had a high capacity magazine that can hold up to 30 or more rounds.

   The high capacity magazine was banned while the federal assault weapons ban was in place during the Clinton administration; the ban was allowed to expire during the Bush administration.
