Welcome to Friday Foto Flogging, a place to share your photos and photography news.
This Month’s Theme: Empty
“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
― Marc Riboud
Link of the Month: Pixel Fixer – Remove hot pixels from raw files.
This is a great free utility, that after an easy setup, automatically removes hot pixels from raw photos without sending the camera in for a pixel remapping.
Especially great for night and high iso work.
Bob’s Empty
Is anything ever really empty?

You really got some great shots out west this year.
Thanks. It’s easy to do when you’re in such gorgeous places.
Beautiful — love the Sniff pose, ha! Gorgeous view in the third shot.
Didn’t realize the event horizon around a black hole was green 😉
Really clever set, Bob. The middle one is especially effective (and maybe a tad creepy).
Thanks, I was kinda saving him for a set but it seemed appropriate.
We were at the spring and someone was feeding the catfish animal crackers. I shot a whole series of the fish sucking in the crackers. So, maybe a bit less creepy with an explanation.
Agree with Andi – great set. Love the fish shot! 😀

Rome, Italy:

Salem, Oregon:
Nice set! Roma – Castel Sant’Angelo 🙂
Fantastic use of perspective, patterns, and angles. Hard to pick a favorite but everything about the Curitiba, Brazil shot is so perfect that I’m finding it very hard to resist.
Beautiful! Great set for the theme. Love the light in all the photos.
One of the neighborhood peafowl bedding down for the night.
What a wonderful capture. Love all the curves — bird and branches.
Great shot Hurria — love how the peafowl (esp the head feathers) blends in with the shape/texture of the leaves.
Glad to see you stop by. Nice bi-color shot. This is one of my favorite times of day to go out and shoot, there is so much going on.
rose-breasted grosbeak
Pretty colours on that one, Jim!
We don’t see them ’round these parts.
Nice shot.

🙂
(Meant to post this earlier this weekend, but had some unwelcome visitors to deal with: Two raccoons pulled apart the soffit and got into our attic Friday night. Oh, the noise and mess.)
That bee shot is just amazing. Wow.
That’s beautiful!
It doesn’t get any emptier than a humongous hole.
That might be the least empty empty-place I can think of.
Beautiful!
Amazingly enough, I took this with my phone, not my camera.
I’m amazed at what phone cameras can produce these days.
Nice shot.

Evening View

Who Am I

Clue to Who Am I

Good job of proving “better late than never”. 😀
Really like Evening View.
Can’t really tell by the close-up but those pinnate leaves sure like they belong to a walnut tree.
Yeah, too much coffee late in the day will keep me up until the Fs start the next day, hah!
Close on the walnuts, but no cigar…
I love the way that walnut leaves make it look like the air is rippling around them.
